I’ve caught myself looking on another child of God and thinking, “Dang ol’ dang, why can’t I be more patient like her or peaceful like him?” Or, “Why can’t I receive provision or healing like her or him?”
We all catch ourselves in moments like this, thinking that another brother or sister in Christ some how has more of Him than we do—even if the thought only lasts a nanosecond.
In those nanoseconds, the Holy Spirit reminds me, “Christ in you. He is in you too.”
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me—Galatians 2:20, NASB
If we are in Him, then we belong to Him.
To each of us He has given all of Himself and all that He was given by our Abba Father. We are co-heirs. We are family in Christ, one with and in Him in His Spirit.
We are not being conformed into the world view, but we are being transformed by the renewing of our mind in order to prove His will (Romans 12:2, AMP).
In The Message translation, the world is described as a dog-eat-dog world (2 Cor 10:3-6). But, this is not the perspective that our God has given us to walk and live by. He doesn’t want us treating each other from this perspective.
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma—Ephesians 5:1-2, NASB
Let us not compare ourselves to each other the way this dog-eat-dog world likes to do, but instead let us remember to see Christ in each other, walking in love which is an offering and sacrifice and fragrant aroma to God.
Mondo love in Him, beautiful dudes!
